The other day I decided to venture back to a nature preserve I have been to before the Arthur R. Marshall Loxahatchee National Wildlife Refuge. While there I saw a few alligators (Pictures to come!) a few other birds but I was mesmerized by one in particular. A Great Blue Heron, now I know they are fairly common around here and the rest of the U.S for that matter but this one didn’t care that I was less then 5 feet away. Normally they fly away but he had a BIG catch he was hunting, a little too big for him if you ask me! I saw it all happen in a flash and I was upset because I thought that I didn’t capture the action.. come to find out I DID capture it! I’m still angry at myself because I know I could have gotten a better image if I was prepared, this just mean I need to go back out there and try again.
